ภาพถ่ายอียิปต์โบราณ “หายาก” ตั้งแต่ช่วง 1870s!! ห้ามพลาด!!
หากพูดถึงอารยธรรมยุคโบราณนั้น “อียิปต์” คืออารยธรรมหนึ่งที่น่าสนใจและน่าติดตามมากที่สุดในโลก โดยเฉพาะสถาปัตยกรรม สิ่งก่อสร้าง รูปปั้นและศิลปะที่น่าชื่นชม ที่ราวกับซ่อนมนต์ขลังเอาไว้มากมาย และหากว่าเราได้ดูรูปภาพ “หายาก”สมัยโบราณของอียิปต์แล้วล่ะก็ คงน่าสนใจไม่น้อยเลยทีเดียว
The New York Public Library แชร์ภาพถ่ายกว่า 9,000 ภาพของดินแดนตะวันออกกลางตั้งแต่ช่วงศตวรรษที่ 17 จนถึงช่วงต้นศตวรรษที่ 20 ซึ่งนี่รวมไปถึงภาพถ่าย หนังสือ อัลบัมรวมของสิ่งก่อสร้าง อนุสาวรีย์ต่างๆ ของอียิปต์โบราณอีกด้วย
โดย François Arago (1786-1853) นักวิชาการชาวฝรั่งเศสกล่าวว่า การถ่ายภาพสิ่งก่อสร้าง และสถาปัตยกรรมอียิบต์โบราณเหล่านี้ เป็นวิธีที่จะช่วยประหยัดแรงงาน อย่างเช่น ขั้นตอนในการคัดลอกตัวอักษรอียิปต์โบราณได้เป็นอย่างดี โดยเฉพาะสถานที่อย่าง Thebes, Memphis และ Carnac เป็นต้น ทำให้นักประวัติศาสตร์ นักศิลปะต่างพากันเดินทางเพื่อเก็บภาพสถานที่สำคัญๆ ของอียิปต์โบราณกันมากขึ้น
นอกเหนือจากช่างภาพผู้บุกเบิกอย่าง Du Camp, Salzmann, Robertson & Beato, และ Frith นั้น ภาพถ่ายเหล่านี้ยังมาจากการเก็บรวบรวมภาพถ่ายจากผู้ให้บริการภาพถ่ายแก่นักท่องเที่ยวในช่วงท้ายๆ ของศตวรรษที่ 19 อย่าง Arnoux, A. Beato, Bonfils, Lekegian, Sébah, และ Zangaki อีกด้วย ซึ่งเมื่อดูๆ แล้วจะรู้ว่า ภาพเหล่านี้คือ ภาพความประทับใจของดินแดนตะวันออกกลางในสายตาของชาวตะวันตกอย่างแท้จริง ผ่านเลนส์กล้อง เรามาดูภาพถ่ายหายากของอิยิปต์โบราณตั้งแต่ปี 1870-1875 จำนวน 30 ภาพกันเลย
