Part 1.1

        Mammon was breathing raggedly, and sweet was pouring from his body.

Prince : F-father…! …!

Mammon : Are you hurt?

        Mammon breathed a sigh of relief as the prince nodded rapidly, sobbing. But just then, the side of Mammon’s rock wall burst open with a boom the dwarfed the earlier explosion.

        Mammon quickly raised new rocks to form a shield, but the speed and magnitude of the angels’ self-destruction exceeded it.

        Dozens of explosions followed in quick succession, and each time Mammon raised his shields to protect himself and the prince, but each subtle time gap lest him with a series of shallow wounds.

        Hours passed, and the sky grew dark.

Prince : Father…!

Mammon : Come closer to me.

        Mammon hugged him deeper, trying to hide the deep wounds on his back and side from his son.

        Through the crumbling ceiling, he could see the angels that still filled the sky. There were more than a few hundred of them, at least a thousand.

Prince : I… I definitely heard… That there were about ten lesser angels…

        White as a sheet, the prince stared at thee angels with crimson eyes over his father’s shoulder.

        Suddenly, the prince’s eyes were red too. The tears flowed unstoppable, soaking Mammon’s shoulders.

Prince : I’m sorry, father. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’ve been so foolish…!

        But before the prince had a chance to apologize, another explosion followed.

        With a roar, angel bodies exploded overhead, hot flames burst forth, and added wounds to Mammon’s body with each blast.

Mammon : Huff…Huff…

        After hundreds of explosions, a ragged gasp finally escape Mammon’s mouth. It was a miracle he didn’t fall over, his massive body red with burns and wounds.
