Angels : ……!!!!

        The remaining self-destructing angels were stunned. ‘There’s no way he’s still alive! No way!’ they muttered in unison.

        Metatron’s eyebrows twitched, but otherwise remained unmoved as usual.

        The bodies of the angels were barely recognizable, as was Mammon’s, and yet there was a small writhing thing…

Prince : Cough…!

Metatron : … Nephew.

Prince : …..? Un…cle…?

        The prince was already exhausted. His limbs were broken, his body was limp, and his lips were barely moving.

        Matatron crouched down in front of the prince’s ungainly form on the ground.

        In his blurred vision, the prince couldn’t quite make out that Matatron’s appearance was not what his father had said it was, And looked perfectly fine.

Prince : Father… The angels, father… 

Metatron : No,no,no. That is not it, dear nephew.

Prince : ……?

Metatron : You killed him. My brother, your father, the king of this country.

Prince : …..?!

        The prince’s body shuddered, and Metatron smiled faintly with his eyes. I’ll kill you, too. In a worse mess than your father.

Metatron : I definitely told you. That it would be dangerous. 

Prince : B-but… You said… There would be… About ten of them…

Metatron : Whether it be ten, a hundred, or a thousand, would things have turned out this way if you were a powerful devil?

        The prince was lost for words. Metatron was right.

Metatron : You are weak. Yet you were greedy. This is its result and the prince of your greed.
