        A full day passed like that. The light that should have burst forth once and then died was still bright, and something told him it was the morning sun.

Mammon : …..

        Mammon didn’t answer. However, his heart was still beating. And so was the strength with which he held the prince.

        He was alive and protecting his son, even though his body was mangled beyond recognition.

??? : Tsk.

        He thought he heard the sound of sound of someone clicking their tongue somewhere, but in his panic, he didn’t even hear it.

        A shield the size of a child’s body, one that barely covered half of Mammon’s back, had been erected.
