        The sky was still full of angels, each one dwindling in number only to fill up again from somewhere else. The prince racked his brain desperately.

Prince : W-what about Eligos… V-Valefor…!

Mammon : …They came with me, but got held back on the way. 

Prince : W-what about Uncle Metatron…!

Mammon : He was the one who ran all the way to the place to deliver the news. He arrived at the palace after being beaten to a pulp by the angels, so he can’t come to help.

BOOOOM-!!!

        The angels began to explode in groups, embracing each other, as if they were about to see the end.

        And finally, when Mammon’s shields failed to hold up in perfect synchronization with the explosion-…

BOOOOM-!!!

        The prince felt something harder than Mammon’s rocky walls crush his body into a tight embrace as he crouched over the ground.

        Mammon’s bare body had deflected the blast instead of a shield. 

Prince : No!!!!

        The prince cried out, but his fragile voice, like the cry of a young animal, was drowned out by the countless explosion.

        The air trembled and the ground shook, but only Mammon’s bare arms remained motionless as he endured the pain.

Prince : Father…! Father…!!

        The prince was deeper on his father’s arms than ever before, but the scent of his father’s body that he missed, which his nose should have been aching with, was nowhere to be found, and smell of burning flesh and dirt mingled with the prince’s breath.

        The only comfort was the pounding of Mammon’s heart against his chest as he held him close.

Thump,thump.thump…

        The prince sobbed faintly at the sound and clung to his father’s arms. But no one could come to their rescue, and the terrible hour continued.
