On Monday, June 12, 2023, Mr. Erroll G. Williams, Assessor, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA have an opportunity to see Dr.Sopon Pornchokchai, President, Agency for Real Estate Affairs (www.area.co.th) who went to New Orleans to study the effects of the Katrina Hurricane to property prices in New Orleans. The Assessor would generously help in this study.

Mr.Erroll Williams has served as an Orleans Parish Assessor since 1985. His previous district, the Third Municipal District, was the largest within the City of New Orleans. In addition to his years of experience as a parish Assessor, Williams held various executive offices within the City of New Orleans, including Chief Administrative Officer (1984-85) and Director of Finance (1978-84). His esteemed career also includes time with Alexander Grant & Co. Certified Public Accountants (1975-78) and as an Internal Auditor with Goldman, Sachs, & Co., Investment Bankers (1971-73).

A graduate of Joseph S. Clark Senior High School, Williams received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Dillard University. His post-graduate studies include a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Tulane University in Accounting and Finance. He is a Certified Louisiana Assessor and holds a Louisiana Real Estate License.

As Orleans Parish Assessor, Williams oversees one of the state’s largest assessment rolls, comprised of more than 176,000 residential and commercial parcels valued at over $7.1 billion. Erroll Williams understands the need to ensure a citywide assessment process that is both fair and equitable. He will continue to work toward the consistent valuation of properties by re-evaluating current assessment practices to leverage modern data-collection efforts.
